Andy, did you go down to the district to help out?
August 8th, 2007 at 2:42 pm
This reader of Andy’s did some lit dropping in St. Charles over the weekend along with my son. I saw another blogger and a few other activists I knew from CD5 down there. My son and I dropped 20+ blocks worth of lit in the pouring rain.
I give credit to this blog, freedom dogs and the work the house caucus and state party did to bring awareness and stir up interest in going down and helping. Not to mention the great job done by Mr. Drazkowski and his staff and of course all the volunteers who helped out.
This is how to win as a team!

Let’s see if Andy can find a way to blame Ron Carey for the bad weather on Saturday when Andy was busy riding around in his new truck — that was very nice of your mom to buy that for you.
Just like when Andy got on the Kennedy bus (when Rome was burning in his own BPOU), he was MIA during this critical election for the GOP.
Lord knows he’d be whining loudly had the GOP lost the race. Did any of Joe Repya’s supporters make it down to the district to help? Or were they too busy plotting Repya’s (or is it Andy’s) U.S. Senate run?
Andy and Repya rebels: way to be team players.

Actually, I was one of those Repya supporters and made it down there and I’m pretty sure not the only one.
FYI - As soon as the chair race was over I again became a Carey supporter. Unlike stifflersmom, I’m able to let it go and move on to more important races.
I can’t speak for Andy, but had Draz lost you can bet I would have been critical of the state party. You can be supportive and critical at the same time if the criticism is highlighting deficiencies that can be improved going forward. In fact it’s almost a requirment of being truly supportive. As it was Draz won, and I complimented the state party. I think they did contribute. I would have liked to have seen more/different action in some areas which leaves room for criticism, but what they did was an improvement and a good start. Credit where credit is due.
I’m sensing that you are hinting if someone didn’t physically go to a phone bank or down to 28B they didn’t help out — a twist on the old chickenhawk argument.
Part of my point was that a lot of people played a role. The volunteers — absolutely. But so did those who simply got the message out to excite others to be volunteers or even make them aware that there was an opportunity to help. Andy, Freedom Dogs and other blogs play a role in that as do communications from the party, the caucus, a CD a BPOU or wherever. Those messages are why I and at least a couple of others went.

Hey Stiflermom - were YOU lit dropping in 28B? Or are you just a sore winner????

I was down there banging on doors in the pouring rain on Saturday. Stiflersmom is a little too negative for my taste but I agree with him about his assessment of too many people complaining.
I doubt that any of the Jason Louis listeners got off their butts to help in this election (or any other election).
Andy throws stones but lives in a glass house.

Crikey. What a bunch of foul-tempered winners. An occasional Jason Lewis Listener myself, no. I didn’t make it down to help the Draz-Man. I know some who did, though and even someone who occasionally fills in for the artist formerly known as “Minnesota’s Mr. Right.” Why on earth would one make such a statement?!
Is this the future of the GOP? Infighting when we WIN? Cripes.

Diehard GOPer…..ASSume much???? I AM a die hard Jason Lewis listener AND BPOU chair as is AAA. I spent every non-working moment of the last three elections working on state, congressional and presidential elections…..
What position do YOU hold within the state GOP??????

Oh and I should add I only work part time AND I have a family to take care of. However if I wasn’t at work I was at home making phone calls and organizing campaign events or working on fund raising, so for you Diehard GOPer or you Stiflersmom to criticize me or any of the other Jason Lewis listeners who are also die hard GOP activists (like Quentin from Zimmerman for example) is WAAAAAAYYYYYYY out of line.
You two are what is wrong with this party. You can’t STAND a dissenting opinion, you don’t to have your little status quo challenged in any way and you LOVE to take pot shots at people from the anonymity of the internet! Well I tell you what. You come down to SD35 and you look me up. I’ll run you through one of my TYPICAL days and we’ll see how well you hold up.

Lowly Logician: your drivel didn’t merit a response.
Keep on listening to Jason and living in your warped sense of reality. Maybe Quentin can offer up some advice for you.
