Excuse Me Waitress…. Waitress
Posted by Andy on August 2nd, 2007
So I am at Keegans. I am guessing the crowd will be skeletal at best, but I kinda didn’t feel like going home. I am meeting a certain someone here, and hope to see some other familiar faces too.
I have to tell you that it is quite weird. There were traffic cops at every intersection, and Hwy. 65 was packed coming in. (I was coming from work, so I came down that way. I am guessing a lot of people were using the Central Ave. bridge to get across the river.
Another thing that is awkward is the sound of choppers. I can’t see them due to the high rises, but seems like news choppers (I assume) are circling the sight.
I was talking with one of the waitresses who happens to live just blocks from the bridge, and all Keegans folks and extended family of the bar are accounted for.
I was so busy today, I had kinda forgotten about the feelings from last night. Well, here I am, just a few blocks from the disaster, and it is surreal.
Anyways, I am at Keegs if anyone reads this. I’ll keep a seat warm for you.

Sorry I was at a Leadership course all day with inspiring guests like Ron Nehring. Wow what a speaker. I spent about 1/2 an hour on Lake street going back to St. Paul about 5:30.
Thanks for the update. I’m glad you’re okay.
