<description>Maybe this will make you feel better....I walked up to the Republican Party booth at the Scott County Fair this afternoon to see a young man of about 14 or 15 (not much older than the Junior Logician) in deep conversation with the folks working the booth. He was asking some pretty pointed questions and generally engaging in some rather logical discussion. When I walked up he was asking about the death penalty. I jumped in on the conversation and we had a rather healthy discussion. He said that he had been to the DFL booth (he did have some of their literature in his pocket) and then he came to talk to the Repulicans.

After our conversation, I walked away with a sense of hope. If we can get our young people to ask the kinds of questions this young man did, we are going to be a lot better off.
