Eliphanticide - Audit-ate #2
Posted by Andy on July 24th, 2007
There doesn’t seem to be anything new, groundbreakin, or downright dirty in it. Just other people saying an audit is under way, and that there were some ‘minor’ violations.
Another committee member, Brian Sullivan, said: “To the extent that anything is not in compliance … my assessment of this has been they are just very technical and minor violations, which are not unusual at all for political organizations, especially given the complexities of various laws.”
I think the Carey hacks can sheeth their swords, and AAA can get some sleep.
Good night all. I need my rest. Got a bunch of crap to do at work tomorrow, and a new couch to maybe buy tomorrow night.
Unity!

Another great victory for the Party.
On the day after the primary for the open House seat, folks looking in their paper will see
“Republican Party calls for Audit and Resignations”
Andy be sure and tell your buddy Joe thanks.
Wonder what Joe’s next release to the Star Tribune will be.
This isn’t about Carey. I trust the Sullivan will make sure whatever need to be done is done.
This is about a “Republican” who seems intent on using the Star Tribune to get his name in the paper and trash the party.

What’s the chances we could talk the Strib into demanding an external audit of the DFL books? It’s bad enough that there is a huge double standard in the media, but do we really want to enforce it against our own best interests? Yes, we need to have our own house in order, but we can’t get tied down in bickering, bean-counting and nit-picking to the exclusion of getting the job– advancing the agenda by electng good Republicans– done.
