dude don’t even try and compare Ellison to Wellstone, that’s just sacrilege…
and you’re wrong, he’s not even that loved by a ton of the hardcore DFL’ers that i know (myself included (well i’m not a DFLer, just a lib).
he won based on the fact that the 5th is made up of a very diverse population, not necessarily because of your average liberal white voters such as myself. hell i voted for Tammy Lee myself…

right, so one random article that mentions it means it’s true?
trust me, it wasn’t Wellstone supporters that helped him win. i lived in the 5th district for 5 years, i can tell you that his minority status was what won him his seat more than anything.

Sorry, I remember that during his swearing in media hype, a lot of pundits said he was modeling himself after Wellstone, and had the support from.
It is OK. Really. The guy is gonna vote JUST like Wellstone did. You don’t need to be ashamed of THAT.
