  • Who Will We Dance With?

Posted by Andy on June 9th, 2007

So today is the big day. The MNGOP will finally get around to grading it past leadership on the election, wait er, we’re going ot elect the people to lead us through 3/4ths of this next campaign, and a 6 months of the next. yes, our schedule is just an incumbant protection plan and needs to be fixed. It’s too far enough away from the elections for people to remember the failures and those involved in their reality to shift the blame and try to save their ass.

The big dance will be taking place at the Prom center in Oakdale and should prove interesting. I’m sure we will see the usual speakers, but the big deal is leadership elections.

I don’t plan to do any liveblogging unless something crazy happens. I’ll try to post the results as soon as I can though.

I have the feeling this is going to get ugly and do a lot of damamge to the party today. Carey was unable to heal the rifts he used to his advantage to get elected in 2005 and frankly the way Delegates have been lied to by some, and abused by others is really bad for our party.

Dismal election results, activist angst over squishy waivering elected GOP officials diverging from the party platform, and kingmaking.

Honestly folks, it has gotten even worse under Carey’s leadership. I hope the Delegates can see this.

But what ever happens will be what happens. A premature congrats to who ever wins. I hope they can do what they say and reunite this party, because it feels pretty darn divided. Maybe it is just me. Or maybe we are is serious trouble and need a change.

What will happen? Hopefully no one stabs me in the back….. literally. That’s my main goal for today. :)-

Well I’m sure the convention is in full swing. God help us if Carey wins again. It’s not his fault, but the guy is boring and brings nothing to the table. No leadership, no fire, nothing. The guy is boring. There is more personality in a rock. Am I the only person who thinks this? I know its mean, but really, the guys a snore. There isn’t a single subject that he could talk about that wouldn’t put me to sleep.
