<description>Thank God the House of Representatives understands the US Constiturion better than the (Z)amnesty and (Z)urrender Senators. You've got to give credit to our Founding Fathers for forseeing the mess a few egotists could get us into. This is from the UPI wire:

Report: House to derail immigration bill
WASHINGTON, May 30 (UPI) -- Conservative U.S. House Republicans are planning to derail an immigration reform bill from the Senate using a procedural tactic, The Hill reported Wednesday.
Although U.S. President George Bush has strongly endorsed the measure before the Senate, many conservatives see one element of it as granting amnesty for illegal immigrants, which Bush denies.

Congressional sources told the newspaper a recent amendment requiring illegal immigrants to pay back taxes before being eligible for a new Z visa makes the bill vulnerable to being thrown out by the House.

Under congressional rules, any bill related to revenue must originate in the House and one unidentified congressional aide said several conservatives are lying in wait to quash the Senate bill.

"If we get an opportunity to do it, believe me, we'll do it," the aide told The Hill. "I think it's going to be a matter of who will get there first. A number of people in the House are dying to be fingered as the person who killed (the bill)."</description>
