From what I read, it says all the right things, but doesn't guarantee or ensure nearly enough of them. The biggest fault I see is that there is no requirement for illegals to "come forward," zero incentive for them to do so, and no "what if" if they don't (which they won't). It will be 1986 all over again, with massive incentives for INCREASED illegal crossing of our border, and no disincentives except for a short fence. I think it can be fixed, but I doubt it will be.

I think Matt is right. No one on either side of the immigration debate likes this bill - which makes me think that maybe it's not all that horrible ;-)

The Speaker of the House will not bring it to the floor, unless the Republicans can guarantee 70 votes for passage.

There are people on both sides of the isle that do not like this bill. Some say it's to strong, not strong enough, needs more tweaking. It will not be passed for a while.

I have a strong feeling if this Amnesty Bill becomes law that conservatives will be emigrating from the GOP….. again at election time.

Yes, because Democrats are such strong Immigration Reform advocates. Yes, Al Franken is going to deport all those illegal immigrants when he's elected... no wait, Mike Ceresi is going to deport... no wait, um, who are all those "conservatives" going to vote for again?
