Results of the Transportation Bill that passed. Including the RINOs who voted for it.

    Update:
The House passed the bill 90 to 43.

The Republicans who voted for the bill are: Dennis Ozment, Bud Heidgerken, Dean Urdahl, Neil Peterson, Ron Erhardt, Kathy Tingelstad and Jim Abeler.

The DFLers who voted against the bill are: Tom Rukavina and Mary Ellen Otremba.

At least two Republicans say they won’t vote to override a veto. A source says the DFLers may be open to voting for the bill.

    Let the horse trading begin!

(I will post the RINO’s contact info later tonight so we can all verbally tar and feather remind them that there is a $2.2 billion dollar surplus and that tax increases are a punishment that will be paid by the little guys for them not having the guts to pass a balanced budget.

None of these legislators’ names really surprise me.

They almost all supported the Twins Stadium legislation last spring. Being a Hennepin County resident, I am extremely unforgiving of those legislators who denied me the right to vote on whether I wanted to be taxed for the new stadium.

I tried to help defeat Neil Peterson in last year’s GOP primary. Voting for this gas tax increase will not help him when he faces endorsement next spring.

Folks, let’s keep this in mind when the endorsing conventions occur next spring! Some of these legislators are clueless and need to be taught a lesson. Being denied endorsement or tossed out of office should be a valuable lesson to stay true to GOP principles.

I applaud your vindictive streak, but I must remind you that you cannot beat somebody with nobody. You (in the local BPOU) need to actively seek out a BETTER Republican and convince them to run for endorsement against any RINO who votes to override. THEN the real work begins: You have to make the endorsement equivalent to victory, even if the incumbent goes to the primary, even if the DFL fields a “moderate” candidate (who won’t be, but remember, they all lie).

We won’t get anywhere just showing up at the convention determined to vote against. Why people (and I know many of them) think that works just escapes me.
