The real villain here is the media that raised no questions about this ad. They were too in bed with the DFL or two cowardly to question a victim being used for a deceptive ad. The problem was that the police had squat for evidence on this guy and decided to take a flyer on a what was an illegal confession, hoping it would stand up. It didn't (you could blame the judge I guess for not looking at the broader issues in the case). You can blame Amy for doing a piss poor job as HCA but the problem here is they made this look like a heroic triumph of justice when the reality was completely different.
