Residual Forces

As promised, I sent the following to Minnesota’s Senators Coleman (R) & Klobuchar (D).

Sen. Coleman & Sen. Klobuchar,

I’m a blogger and your constituent here in Minnesota who is very supportive of the mission in Iraq and the war on terror in general. I posted the following letter that was sent to Harry Reid. I believe it is very important you remember who we are dealing with, both in the war in Iraq, and the war for resolve here at home.

Defeating America’s enemy overseas is far more important to me than anything else. I implore you to consider victory as an option. DC Politics as usual is going to do nothing but embolden America’s enemies. I implore you to take your criticism, if legitimate, to the President and DoD directly. By publicly exposing the negatives and exposing the hardships we face, you’re just giving the enemy a playbook to follow [to defeat America].

War is hell, and this war is unlike one we have faced before. Patience, especially from Congress, is needed to ensure the evil we face cannot win. You each have you own stances and agenda, mine is for a safer stronger America who radical Islam is afraid of, not confident that we will leave a battle when politics at home goes bad.

At the least, please read the quote from JFK that is included below. After reading that, I hope you remember an America that at one time didn’t make defeating America’s enemies a political football or election issue.

If we walk away from this enemy today, it will get stronger and more dangerous, and we will have to deal with that threat in the future. It is time America stood up for itself, and stood up to our enemy. I ask you both find the resolve to do the same.

Here is a copy of a letter I sent to Harry “The sky is falling” Reid. I also sent a copy to Obama, Durbin, Bush, & Cheney.
Mr. Reid,
You are a disgrace to this great nation that many true Americans have given their lives to defend. I am a Army Veteran, 1961 through 1967 and I find your treasonous remarks and actions on a level to those by Kerry a Jane Fonda during the Vietnam war.

Your reply to Lieberman’s comments, “No one wants us to succeed in Iraq more than the Democrats. We’ve proven that time and time again since this war started more than four years ago. We take a back seat to no one in supporting our troops, and we will never abandon our troops in a time of war.” is an outright lie. You can not support the troops if you do not support their mission
I have seen the likes of you, Murtha, Pelosi, and others in the Democrat party bend to the calling of such radical groups as ANSWER, Code Pink, and The World Can’t Wait. I am sure that you are aware that these organizations are rooted in communism. Why you think that these groups have the American interests in mind is beyond me.
The silent majority is waking up. Witness Move America Forward, the Gathering of Eagles, America Rising, etc. We are damn tired of the anti-American groups and activities taking place in this country. We are damn tired of the anti-military actions taking place on the west coast. We are damn tired of elected officials who betray our military.

Leading in to the last election, the Democrat party made some very big promises. I, as well as many others are waiting for those promises to be delivered. I don’t mean politically based investigation after investigation. They have no impact on the working American. I am talking about Illegal Immigration, border security, Social Security, and, winning the war in Iraq.

I was reminded of a quote today. “Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty.” John Fitzgerald Kennedy. What happened to the great party that JFK loved?

In regards to you, Cicero can not be quoted enough. “A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.”

I am not a resident of Nevada so I really don’t expect to get a reply from you. I am however a resident of Illinois and I do expect a reply from Mr. Obama & Mr. Durbin. I will be forwarding a copy of this letter to them as well as other elected officials in Illinois.
