Words To Live By
"You're just petty politicians, who'd sooner sign onto the wisdom of a tyrant in another country, than the demands of ticked off voters in your own." (Neil Cavuto June 2008)

“I didn’t question her patriotism. I questioned her judgment.” Mr. Cheney went on: “The point I made and I’ll make it again is that Al Qaeda functions on the basis that they think they can break our will. That’s their fundamental underlying strategy, that if they can kill enough Americans or cause enough havoc, create enough chaos in Iraq, then we’ll quit and go home. And my statement was that if we adopt the Pelosi policy, that then we will validate the strategy of Al Qaeda. I said it, and I meant it.” (Vice President Cheney NYT Feb. 2007)

"A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers. (Ronald Reagan March 1, 1975)

"Oh, no! First of all, if I took one vote away from a serious candidate, it would be a sin." (Al Franken Time Magazine, 9/1/03)

Repya’s ‘High’ Road to Victory

Republican Party Chair candidate Joe Repya released the following.

“GOP Joe” Encourages Republicans to Focus on Leadership, Vision, and Success in 2008

Says Upcoming Congressional District Conventions
Are Important For Delegates to Learn About Their Choices

“GOP Joe” Repya, candidate for Republican Party Chairman, today released the following statement:

“As Republicans, we must focus on our main objective over the next few weeks – working to build a team that will bring the Republican Party of Minnesota back down the Road to Victory in 2008. I am in a competitive race, and do not want to jump to any conclusions about recent accusations regarding my opponent and his business. In the race for Party Chairman, the delegates will decide which candidate can best motivate our grassroots team, convey his vision for success, and demonstrate the leadership we need to get back on the Road to Victory in 2008.”

I think he’s probably referring to the MN Autism Story that ran today in the Strib and was the topic of a large portion of the Bob Davis show on AM1500 this morning.

And then there’s this from MNPublius: Carey Embroiled in Scandal

And let there be no mistake, this scandal is right in Carey’s lap.

Yeah, high road to victory. The high road would have been to say nothing, he wants this story to pushed more into the spotlight.

Get your head out from underneath the heat lamps at the OCB line and wake up to the fact that you are pushing something that is DOA.

Did you ask Mr. Repya if he meant to “keep this in the spotlight” by putting out this release? Or are you just clairvoyant? This would also explain why you would also be able make the claim that this is “DOA”.
