I just watched DFLer Sen. Steve Murphy (DFL 28) lead the charge against adding an amendment to his transportation tax gouging bill on behalf of mass transit that would have honored military heroes.

Sen. Tomassoni (DFL-5) offered an amendment to add a veterans license plate for Bronze Star Vets.

Sen. Murphy actually urged members to vote against this bill, and they did. These slimey bastards just voted against Bronze Star Veterans.

Now they are mandating that any roads that get Federal Earmarks (a practice I thought Pelosi and the Democrats were going to end) would jump ahead of one’s already on the schedule by our own MNDOT, and of course the Democrats voted this one down because a Republican brought it up.

Yes, the MN Democrats want the Federal Government to dictate our transportation projects all based on pork. Earmarks dished out by the powerful Transportation Committee Chair, DFLer Jim Oberstar (MN8). And as everything in Washington, he is only handing those types of things out to the people who have earned it.

This entire bill presented by Murphy is basically at the request of Oberstar. He warned them to raise taxes on transportation, or face possible cuts in the pork otherwise known as matching funds.

(Never watch the live feed of the Minnesota Senate on a Friday afternoon. Especially when you are watching socialists talking about how much money they can take away from your family, and how to fix the system for the sole benefit of their loyal DFLers.
