I was emailed a link to Indoctrinate U last night by a dedicated RF reader.

Speech codes. Censorship. Enforced political conformity. Hostility to diversity of opinion. Sensitivity training. We usually associate such things with the worst excesses of fascism and communism, not with the American universities that nurtured the free speech movement. But American higher education bears a disturbing resemblance to the totalitarian societies that are anathema to our nation’s ideal of liberty. Evan Coyne Maloney’s documentary film, Indoctrinate U, reveals the breathtaking institutional intolerance you won’t read about in the glossy marketing brochures of Harvard, Berkeley, Michigan, Yale, and hundreds of other American colleges and universities.“When we think of going to college, we think of intellectual freedom. We imagine four years of exploring ideas through energetic, ongoing, critical thinking and debate,” Maloney said. “But the reality is very far from the ideal. What most of us don’t know is that American college students check their First Amendment rights and individual freedom at the door.”
Now of course, the usual distribution rings and circles for documentaries, known as college campuses are not too thrilled at this expose on their on campus dominance of thought, freedom, and speech code. Here’s what you can do to help this documentary be seen here in the Twin Cities and help Minnesotans see what really lies behind the scenes at Major University’s across the country.
Go sign up expressing interest in a screening here in Minnesota. As soon as they get 500 in an area, they will be able to approach the commercial markets and set up screenings. If you’re an out of state RF reader, there’s a map on the sign up page to see the progress from around the country.
