  • Lucky Me, A Night on the Town

Posted by Andy on March 10th, 2007

I have myself a little evening on the town planned tonight. I’ve coopted a fine philly to accompany me to a movie and dinner. We’re going to be catching an early showing of 300 and then fine grazing at Manny’s, with a little hockey in between.

300 seems to be a great movie at first glance. In the midst of my flu/cold coma last night I saw a bit of the making of 300. Looks good, but when they said this was the first fight for freedom, I was sold. I know that’s what these making of specials are supposed to do, but still, they got swords and there will be blood. It is 300 men against thousands. My kinda odds. Actually it was one of them mutual how about we go see 300 moments, so she wanted to see it as much as me. (It better not be a chick flick)

Following that, we’ll be grabbing drinks at my favorite watering hole not in Minneapolis to catch some of or the end of the MN State High School Hockey Championship. Her request, not mine. I know, lucky me. Oh and Manny’s was at her request. She even pulled some strings in order to get us ressies for tonight. We had them a couple weekends ago, but that snow storm kept us cooped up.

So I will be a bit out of pocket tonight, but it isn’t like I am dissin’ y’all for a broad….. OK, I am. But read the above, and tell me if you blame me.

So, swords, hockey, booze, beef, booze, and a beautiful broad who shares all the same interests as me. I count myself as lucky.

(It has been a while since I have done personal posts, but I’ve been seeing this woman for a few months now, and well, this night seems like the text book definition of a perfect date from a guy’s perspective and I thought I’d share it. )
