MOB Focus - Spend-O-Meter - Update

I have tweaked the MOB Spend-O-Meter to include the extra $4 billion dollars from my original $30.5 to Pawlenty’s $34.4 proposed state budget. There’s no way we’re going to spend less than what Governor Pawlenty wants. The question is how much more will we spend? I find it hard to believe the DFL Legislature would oppose Pawlenty’s spending increases, and in fact demand even more. 16% education increases is far from enough for them.
How big is our state budget going to get? And do you know that money doesn’t magically grow on trees?
