They are talking about what it means for the families of our service members who now must endure longer time away from there loved ones and a stressful next few months. Coleman and Pawlenty are NOT against the war, they are FOR the families of service members from Minnesota. Quit always thinking politically, especially when it has to do with war. They represent the people of Minnesota, NOT the GOP.

I'm worried, too. Both Coleman and Pawlenty have spoken out against "The Surge."

I'm worried that both are looking at waning public support for the war and are taking the politically expedient position over doing the right thing.

When we win - and we will, it's too bad that Minnesota's top Republican's are on the wrong side of this one.

All of the generals that disagreed with the President are not there anymore. I agree with your hubby but the general that ran Desert Storm and the one that led the troops most of the time in Iraq now, both are against this.

You are not the only one. The Logical Husband (US Army ret) is absolutely tied in knots over this and he is opposed to the war. However, he is militarily savvy enough (unlike some liberals who think they know better than recruiters and the field generals) to know that if the generals want it, then there is a bloody reason for it!
