I am surprised that the same Carey who once bashed Pawlenty now has nose firmly up….
I never doubted Pawlenty would play the balance game. He has no choice but to be the consummate populist. I made arguments to enlarge the majority n the House to pull him back right. Well, MNGOP decided that was not worth it.

This was my first real taste of insider politics. I now understand why only the good old boys network survives, there is no room for dissent, let alone new ideas. It is a top down monarchy where you are to do what you told… or else. If you really think I (me AAA) am responsible for Pawlenty, you may want to take a nap and think about it. In reality, I did not vote for Pawlenty at the convention, actually I didn’t vote, I let the alternates get seated.

It is never fun being hated by people you once respected and vice versa. Call me old fashioned or rather naive, but I had hope that politics wasn’t as cut throat and dirty as they had said. It does explain why people get fed up and quit politics though. Why would any one want to be treated like that? It is fun having lefties hate me, that is a badge of honor.

I’m guessing there will be “a scheduling conflict” and Carey will have to miss it. I bet this was scheduled long before things went down. if he is afraid, or rather refuses, to talk to me, I can’t imagine he’d be OK with going up against Lewis.

Sam – as much as you are trying to be contrary – you agreed with me 100%! The time for this discussion is not AFTER the convention but before and that is what we are doing!

As far as your accusation that AAA “lead the charge” for the Governor – you obviously did not read Brodkorb’s blog. I’m sorry – I like Michael and all but he IS the party cheerleader.

I have said this hundreds of times and counting – Sue Jeffers hurt her own chances within the Republican Party in 2006 by approaching the Libertarian Party first. I heard her at CD2 – I liked what she had…I still like what she has to say. However, party officials (like Andy) have to support the party nominee once the nomination was done. That comes with the territory. And THAT is something that the Sue Jeffers supporters (like you Sam?) just don’t get.

I think you secretly like being hated, though, so don’t let me spoil your fun.

You lead the charge for Pawlenty and Carey (and took a lot of heat for it) and now you want them to change the way they behave.

They have not changed – so your complaining about people you supported is funny.

If you don’t like there behavior, the time to say something was before the election when they needed you – not now when they don’t need you any more.

Carey has not changed, Pawlenty has not changed and you did not learn.

But as I started this off, That has been the Pawlenty way for years, so to see you surprised is funny.

And to correct another oops on your part, I never said Brodkorb was going to speak against Pawlenty Saturday. I have no idea where he stands, and I doubt you do either. Be more careful before you say such things.

Besides, unlike you, I don’t find comfort putting all the eggs in one basket. Meaning, it takes more than a Governor to run a conservative movement.

The battle should have been fought over the MN HOuse, but after people like you got pissed off, ya never showed up again. So, while you’re patting yourself on the back, congratulate yourself and those like you. We are all paying for it.

The Party decided (with Andy leading the cheer) that Pawlenty was our man – to not support him now is funny.

To complain that the party is not speaking out about Pawlenty now that he is acting exactly like he said (and everyone else said) he would act is even a bigger joke.

To have him talk about how he and Brodkorb will speak out is the biggest joke.

The current GOP behavior is there doing – The pols are just following the road that they paved.

I never shouted anyone down. I made my arguments, others were doing the shouting. People are listening to me and all the others now. Unfortunately Ron Carey is more concerned with his own reputation than the future of the Republican party. He’s trying to silence anyone willing to speak out against his failures.

For some reason I don’t think they will get Lewis off the air. I would be willing to bet that Ron Carey will never appear at an event with Lewis. Hey, I think I have something in common with Lewis. Little old me?
