Words To Live By
"You're just petty politicians, who'd sooner sign onto the wisdom of a tyrant in another country, than the demands of ticked off voters in your own." (Neil Cavuto June 2008)

“I didn’t question her patriotism. I questioned her judgment.” Mr. Cheney went on: “The point I made and I’ll make it again is that Al Qaeda functions on the basis that they think they can break our will. That’s their fundamental underlying strategy, that if they can kill enough Americans or cause enough havoc, create enough chaos in Iraq, then we’ll quit and go home. And my statement was that if we adopt the Pelosi policy, that then we will validate the strategy of Al Qaeda. I said it, and I meant it.” (Vice President Cheney NYT Feb. 2007)

"A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers. (Ronald Reagan March 1, 1975)

"Oh, no! First of all, if I took one vote away from a serious candidate, it would be a sin." (Al Franken Time Magazine, 9/1/03)

Foreshadowing?

Was it odd for Keegan’s to have called me twice today to remind me to come there this Thursday? Or is business there just that bad that they need to pad the monthly numbers with my bar tab?

I bet there were two phone teams each with duplicate lists. I too received 2 calls. Don’t miss the Drawing for the Trip to Boston!

Same for me two calls from two different people. It was a great idea to call. Good from a business perspective (gets more people in) and a nice touch from a customer service perspective. Now they just need to better execution.

I’m a customer service freak. Keegan’s does customer service the way a business should. I quit going to another regular hang out because they took regulars for granted. Things like assuming that they would be ok waiting while other customers were served and the like. I don’t mind that once in a while, but it became a habit. As a result, Keegan’s will be getting more of my money in the future.

    Did you have two entries?

And they must need my bar tab, too. They called me, too (but only once).

  4. Andy says:

    Yes, I was entered twice.

My one complaint for Keegans’ customer service is not enough beer wenches!

I agree with your last comment, but what they lack in quantity, they make up for in quality. Being free market guys, I guess the way to allow Keegan’s to hire more is for us to drink more. I’ll do my part to chip in to the cause.

    I’ll drink to that…
