Dear Fellow Minnesota Republicans

We shouldn’t be afraid to stand up for what we stand for.
We shouldn’t be afraid to talk about what we stand for in public.
We should be proud to talk about just what it is that we need to do to win the next election, because you know what? What we need to do isn’t some secret GOTV operation. It isn’t some super secret list of names or donors.
It is standing up for what we stand for that we need to do to win the election. The next election will not be won or lost in closed door meetings or through negotiations. We will win teh next election by convincing enough people that conservative Republican ideas and values are really what is best for this state and nation.
We’ve been drifting leftward as a party for a few years now, and what has it gotten us?
We’ve been pandering to the left for years now, and what has it gotten us?
It has gotten us on the outside looking in of the halls of power. Now more than ever, the Republican party of Minnesota needs to stand for the Republicans in Minnesota. The party needs to carry the message to the voters that the politicians no longer can or rather will.
We shouldn’t be afraid to stand up for what we stand for.
I’m not here to be your leader. I’m not here to tell you who should be your leader. I think we do need one though. I am not supporting anyone, I am supporting conservatism. If the delegates of this party are allowed to select the leadership of this party, I will be supporting the most conservative candidate in the race who is not afraid to stand up for what this party thinks is right over that of an elected Republican.
Andy Aplikowski
PS: If conservatism is really dead in this state, then there is no more use for the Republican party of Minnesota. If it can’t stand for Republican values, but it will stand for anything and or everything, then what is the point of it standing at all?
