“I didn’t question her patriotism. I questioned her judgment.”
Mr. Cheney went on: “The point I made and I’ll make it again is that Al Qaeda functions on the basis that they think they can break our will. That’s their fundamental underlying strategy, that if they can kill enough Americans or cause enough havoc, create enough chaos in Iraq, then we’ll quit and go home. And my statement was that if we adopt the Pelosi policy, that then we will validate the strategy of Al Qaeda. I said it, and I meant it.”
(Vice President Cheney NYT Feb. 2007)
"A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers. (Ronald Reagan March 1, 1975)
"Oh, no! First of all, if I took one vote away from a serious candidate, it would be a sin." (Al Franken Time Magazine, 9/1/03)
I am MOB Mayor, I can do this. I don’t care what his readership is. If John Kerry can be a US Senator, I can rename a NARNer who took down the Canadian Government.
Why? Because I am the Mayor dang it! Actually these endorsements carry with them all the same weight that the Strib and PiPress editorial endorsements do. So you better, or else.
Actually I will post my endorsements here in a bit.
I will be heading to the Fortress after work tonight. I really don’t want to answer the door 50 times tonight for all the brats to grab candy out of my bowl and run off with out so much as a thanks. So I am going to the bar instead to work on the MOB endorsements. I fully expect to receive loads of grief for this, but hey, I am single and have no kids.
I did buy candy, but I just really don’t want 50 interruptions tonight. Besides the little twirps always go to the wrong door which make me have to walk even more.
So anyways. Mark Kennedy is going to be on 100.3 at 5:10 responding to the John Kerry, I am not as stupid as my stupidity statement today regarding our troops.
Stay tuned. We have the potential for some chick blogging here, not to mention I still have to fisk some of the Senate debate. Oh and get myself ready for the Governor and Senator John McCain are coming to my area tomorrow. I am going to be going to Rochester Thursday evening. And a possible bit of travel this weekend around the state. Oh, and then there is the MPR debate on Sunday night.
So tonight is the night for MOB endorsements. And Beer!!!!!!
Enough with the recut Hatch ads. He’s a scum bag. We get it. Minnesota gets it. It is getting embarrassing. Hatch is not really leading in the polls and besides Pawlenty has plenty of money to defend himself. You’re attacking a man that no one in this state will defend unless they are in a union.
There is that little race for US Senate however, where someone is literally getting away with murder thanks to the press. You may consider refocussing your energy just a bit. No I don’t mean that lady who ruined her reputation by becoming the sleaziest campaigner in Minnesota history and has damaged her Foundation for missing children’s reputation beyond repair with her lies and nasty tactics. That other one really should be your focus. Everyone already knows everything there is to know about Hatch and Wetterling.
And another thing. Where the hell is Eric Hoplin? Why is the most energetic and enthusiastic person ever to don a blue blazer, white shirt, and red tie not out there in front of the cameras selling our message? Just what is going on down there?
PS: If you make an ad about his motor home breaking down, the gloves are really coming off.
I really don’t think I should comment on this scum bag. Really. If Mass. reelects this windbag piece of crap that shit wipes off its feet, we need to vote them off the island. This guy has no business being in the US Senate.
Free societies have prerequisites, and history has not given all peoples those prerequisites, which took centuries to evolve in the West.
However we got into Iraq, we cannot undo history–even recent history–by simply pulling out and leaving events to take their course in that strife-torn country. Whether or not we “stay the course,” terrorists are certainly going to stay the course in Iraq and around the world.
Political spin may say that Iraq has nothing to do with the war on terror, but the terrorists themselves quite obviously believe otherwise, as they converge on that country with lethal and suicidal resolve.
Whether we want to or not, we cannot unilaterally end the war with international terrorists. Giving the terrorists an epoch-making victory in Iraq would only shift the location where we must face them or succumb to them.
King finishes this way: “Which is exactly the message Mark Kennedy is giving voters.”
Do you really want to send someone to Washington who doesn’t even want to talk about the danger of us letting the terrorists win?
No matter the race, no Democrat is willing to do what it takes to defeat the terrorists. They are cowards and unwilling to due what we need to to protect future generations.
Any vote for a Democrat is a vote for vulnerability and a vote against victory. PERIOD!
