Words To Live By
"The era of small government is over ... government has to be more proactive, more aggressive." ( Tim Pawlenty 2006)

"You're just petty politicians, who'd sooner sign onto the wisdom of a tyrant in another country, than the demands of ticked off voters in your own." (Neil Cavuto June 2008)

“I didn’t question her patriotism. I questioned her judgment.” Mr. Cheney went on: “The point I made and I’ll make it again is that Al Qaeda functions on the basis that they think they can break our will. That’s their fundamental underlying strategy, that if they can kill enough Americans or cause enough havoc, create enough chaos in Iraq, then we’ll quit and go home. And my statement was that if we adopt the Pelosi policy, that then we will validate the strategy of Al Qaeda. I said it, and I meant it.” (Vice President Cheney NYT Feb. 2007)

"A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers. (Ronald Reagan March 1, 1975)

"Oh, no! First of all, if I took one vote away from a serious candidate, it would be a sin." (Al Franken Time Magazine, 9/1/03)

Come on Sara. Where are you? You’re usually so quick to pounce. Hello

    Oh and Eva. buzz off.

  4. Sara Nelson says:

Good Afternoon, Andy…. so sorry I wasn’t waiting around to see what you post next….. I was out with my kids at our town festival last night, and I have a life outside of politics, blogs, and pissing you off.

Where does one start on this topic? Easy: Sue Jeffers is better than Tim Pawlenty because Tim Pawlenty has already shown us that he cannot be trusted as a conservative. He calls himself a Republican, but governs like a democrat.

Let me take you on a little journey…. the knowledge accumulated here is through Sue’s Website, personal emails, conversations from campaign events, media stories and radio broadcast, as well as press releases. The same applies to knowledge about Tim Pawlenty, without the personal conversations, seeing that he never gets out to talk to his constituents these days…

I was listening to Jason Lewis last night, now that he has arrived on KTLK (yay!). Even Jason Lewis admits that he likes Sue and that Tim Pawlenty has not done what Minnesotans elected him to do.

Note: If Sue Jeffers wins the GOP primary for Governor, Tim Pawlenty won’t even be on the Ballot in November.

    Minnesota has a CHOICE!
    ——————————
Minnesotans have a choice on September 12: We can continue on with 4 more years of Tim (because Mike Hatch doesn’t stand a chance, I’m sorry), or we can vote for a change. My personal policy of voting goes as such: If they’ve let me down, that’s a strike against them. But just because I haven’t seen someone in action doesn’t mean they also get a strike. Right now, Sue Jeffers appears to be a great candidate, AND I find no reason to give her a strike. Pawlenty has handful’s of strikes, with the bills he’s signed and the positions he has taken on certain issues, CONTRARY TO THE GOP PLATFORM!

She’s No Sell-Out, Ladies and Gents
    ——————————————–
Sue Jeffers also has a leg up on Pawlenty: she isn’t accepting any special interest dollars. Why in heaven’s name would she give up all that money? Because she isn’t a sell-out. She will not allow herself to be trapped in a box because she took a few bucks that made her promise to promote and sign certain bills over others.

She will answer to Minnesota, not the PAC’s, Lobbyists, etc. She is driven by principle and a love for this state and all that makes it such an amazing place to live.

Sue’s Position on the Issues (Brief Version)
    —————————————————-
On the issues side of things, Sue Jeffers’ stance on the issues is MUCH more in-tune to the Minnesota GOP Standing Platform than Tim Pawlenty could even hope to be at this point.

    Sue Supports:
    ——————
    Less government spending and regulation
    Smaller government
    Lower taxes and fees
    Less regulation
    Property tax relief
    Taxpayer Bill of Rights
Bus Rapid Transit and building roads
    Education tax credits or vouchers
    Overturning Roe v. Wade
    The Constitution.

    Sue opposes:
    —————–
    Illegal immigration
    Light Rail Transit
    E-85 subsidies
    Gambling expansion
    Smoking bans
    Corporate welfare
    Goverment-funded college tuition
    Dedicated funding
    Gas tax increases
    Publically funded stadiums
    Government-funded campaigns
    QCare
The LARGEST BUDGET IN STATE HISTORY
Our 2006 BILLION DOLAR bonding bill.

Compare her stances with the GOP Platform, found here: http://www.mngop.com/documents/mngop2006platform.pdf

I think you will be surprised at how many of those positions she supports……Then on the other hand, compare the platform with Tim Pawlenty’s proven track record of non-accomplishments.

Any questions, Andy? Happy to answer them. You think this is all about winning, with or without principles. However, I would vote principle over letter designation ANY day. I could call myself a democrat (which i am whole-heartedly not), but as long as I adhered to my principles, it wouldn’t matter. You could label me a Daisy Party member…. what does that MEAN?

It’s all about what one will do, what they have done, and what they are doing about something. TIm Pawlenty keeps screwing up, ticking off his base, and quite frankly, when Minnesota realizes they have another choice, ol’ T-Paw can go back to Eagan and coach little league for all I care.

    Regards,

    Sara Nelson

I hope you got it out of your system, now go have a good life.

  6. Sara Nelson says:

And what, pray tell, will you do when Tim loses?
