They have no class or sense of what is a bad frickin idea for a movie.
Talk about pulling another Wellstone memorial.

So, many people are saying the Dems will take the US House in November.
For the Dems to take over the House, at least one of our MN seats is going have to flip. How do you see them breaking down? (Hint: There are 8 seats total)

I think the Finney vs. Fletcher race for Ramsey County Sherriff could get ugly. Real ugly. So ugly they may shoot each other at high noon at the county courthouse.
In the end, one of these 2 will win, and no one will want to have them be the top cop in charge of keeping them safe. It is too bad too. Fletcher is a control freak. Finney seems like one too. Meanwhile, Ramsey County needs someone more concerned about the public safety, than making sure no one attacks there histories.

The Strib actually posted a story confirming what we claimed, The Strib is run by Liberals!
O’Brien is the LTE gatekeeper and decision maker for the Blog House.
Tim O’Brien describes himself as a liberal whose fondest wish as the letters editor is for more conservatives to write in.
“At least 75 percent of what I get is left of center. My theory is that liberals have letters to the editor and conservatives have talk radio,” O’Brien said.
And Ringham the Commentary editor?

I just got done sitting through a presentation on Health Care here are work. We’re shopping around, trying to get a better price than what we’re paying. We had an insurance broker come out, rather than the usual sales person from the big companies (That the state of Minnesota graciously allows to pay taxes do business here).
Here’s the first thing I learned. Just like you can telephone service cheaper if you don’t buy it directly through the phone company, you can get insurance cheaper when people shop around for you.
Second. Group plans SUCK! So here’s a quick comparison.
Right now my premium through the group plan is like $300. We’re thinking of going to a group HSA in which my premium would be $230. That’s not much of a savings. But if I went and got an individual HSA, my premium would be $110. How the hell is it cheaper for me to go buy insurance on my own, than when I am doing so through my company?
There are no Minnesota State Government mandates on individual accounts!
As the broker told us, you don’t have to pay for the 4 pages of mandated coverage that our gracious nanny state mandates which are tantamount to hidden taxes.
So why do I say the Democrats will bankrupt this country? Because they will mandate more things, and then have one gigantic group plan. They want to have everything run through a central government controlled plan. When as you can see, it is cheaper to go it alone.
I’m saving a ton. I have complete control over it. So why is that a problem? Oh yeah, I am paying for it. That’s the thing. The Democrats want to have the Government pay for Health Care. They want to pay for it by raising taxes. They will create another burdensome entitlement that people will become dependent on, like Social Security and Medicare.
And then we will never be able to reform the system once we finally prove to people just how F’ed up it really is. So we’ll have to raise taxes even more to pay for the program, which will screw up the economy. Which cause you to get fired. Which will make you miss you mortgage payment. So you have to declare bankruptcy.
Call it the Democrats 5 Step Plan To Ruin Your Life.

CNN once again has its undies in a bunch over the fact that Bush and Co. are using a buzzword.
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Bush in recent days has recast the global war on terror into a “war against Islamic fascism.” Fascism, in fact, seems to be the new buzz word for Republicans in an election season dominated by an unpopular war in Iraq.
A war made unpopular by CNN. Huh.
But Muslim groups have cried foul. Bush’s use of the phrase “contributes to a rising level of hostility to Islam and the American-Muslim community,” complained Parvez Ahmed, chairman of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
Of course, we don’t want to offend the people who are defending the people trying to kill us.
It isn’t that hard to understand everyone. Fascism
a political philosophy, movement, or regime that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition
Seems like a perfect match to me. fascist muslims.
This marks the last time I bother going to CNN’s website trying to learn something other than CNN is too busy defending America’s enemy.

I hope this will put an end to your crap.
A lawyer involved in the CIA leak case confirmed Tuesday that Armitage was the first and main source of columnist Robert Novak, who disclosed Plame as a CIA officer in 2003.
End. Of. Story.

Oh, and I’m the one they get mad at for name calling. (here) Look at the names used. Real class, but what do you expect from the same people who delete a blog’s archives as a joke.

Someone, and I won’t embarrass them by saying who, told me once that Peter Hutchinson was THE fiscal conservative in the Governor’s race. I beg to differ.
MPR’s Laura McCallum has a report today that details how IP-endorsed gubernatorial candidate Peter Hutchinson ended up with just $16,000 left in his campaign coffers as of this week’s pre-primary report.
Among other things, he spent $21,000 to rent a hotel ballroom to announce his campaign and has paid staff so far about $250,000.
He’s counting on the taxpayers to give a boost to his campaign with a public subsidy of about $283,000. And his campaign says they’ve been raising money since the end of the reporting period.
Of course fundraising isn’t the only way to judge the success of a campaign, but this story does raise some questions.
Is the “major party” bar set too low in Minnesota? (It takes 5 votes out of every hundred cast statewide to qualify)
Does Hutchinson’s campaign spending reflect at all on his campaign message that he can best manage the state budget?
I think not.

City Pages‘ Jihad
Keith Ellison, the DFL’s endorsee for
Congress in the Fifth District, has spent
the summer countering attacks from Republicans—and Democrats. What made
him everyone’s favorite target?
He’s an anti-semitic nut, but go read the entire thing. It is very long, and all aimed at defending this guys past.
Uh, what’s this?
Ten days after Ellison submitted his letter to the JCRC, the number-two person in the al Qaeda hierarchy, Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi, was killed in a bombing in Iraq. The weblog Kennedy vs. the Machine (as the name suggests, it was created to boost the candidacy of Republican U.S. Senate hopeful Mark Kennedy) posted Zarqawi’s picture over the caption, “Condolences can be sent to Ellison HQ.” KvM operator Gary M. Miller justified this heinous stunt by claiming that Zarqawi and Ellison have a “shared history of anti-Semitism.”
That a boy Gary.
