Democrats Play Politics in DC, Put Klobuchar in a Pickle

Further proof that the Liberal agenda is the only agenda the Democrats in DC will stand for, Teddy Kennedy and Harry Reid, Democratic Senate leaders both, blocked a bill that would have closed the loopholes criminals use to roam free and prey on the innocent.

By Sher Zieve – US Senators Ted Kennedy (D-MA) and Harry Reid (D-NV) are blocking voting on the proposed Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act. If allowed to be voted on and passed, the bill would provide federal authorities with the tools to keep a database of convicted child predators and child abusers and would give local authorities the ability to tap into that database in order to advise them of sexual predators in their communities.

Currently, no such national cooperative database exists, which makes it possible for sexual predators and pedophiles to move freely from state to state without law enforcement knowledge. Kennedy and Reid are said to be holding the child protection bill “hostage”, until there is a Senate vote on Kennedy’s hate-crimes bill.

Thus far, the Kennedy hate-crimes bill has not been able to garner widespread Senate support.

Just doin what’s best for the country, they think. I give the DFL about 30 minutes to launch a baseless attack on Mark Kennedy and Bill Frist for kicking puppies or something. This does not look good for a certain Senate wannabe with the initials AK.

Would Amy Klobuchar stand up to her Democratic leadership and demand a vote on the Sex Offender legislation? She’s campaigned on saying we need a national database to track these criminals in the past. (Mermaid Debate, video) Will Klobuchar choose her own agenda, or the one of the DC Liberals?
