    Barrett v Peterson

    Mike Barret was endorsed as the 7th CD GOP candidate.

    (AP) Willmar, Minn. The state’s 7th District Republicans unanimously endorsed pharmacist Michael Barrett Saturday to challenge longtime DFL incumbent U.S. Rep. Collin Peterson in November.

    Barrett was the only Republican seeking the seat. Peterson, of Detroit Leksa, was endorsed last weekend.

    Barrett cited illegal immigration as the top issue for voters in the district’s 35 counties.
