This rally was not intended to be a whining session about not getting financial aid. It was about the proposed changes in immigration. I am not sure if know this but illegal immigrants put BILLIONS of dollars into the US Economy. I don't have the exact numbers but I read it in article in TIME magazine. I am sure you can find it by googling. Many of these people work with fake Social Security Numbers which means they are paying our elderly and disabled people's Social Security checks, and they will never see a dime of Social Security themselves. I simply urge you to wonder next time you are eating a piece of fruit to ask yourself how did that piece of fruit make its way to you? Who do you think is cleaning your office building or your public toilets? Another point to be made is that unless you are Native American, your ancestors came here with a dream of making life better for their children also. And they probably came before there were any immigration laws to be followed. The bottom line is that we need Illegal Immigrants as much as they need us. If you want to cut down on it, a good solution would be to help Mexico strengthen its economy so people would not be so desperate to come here.
