1/4 Billion Senate Sales Tax Increase – Updated #2
OK, so my math sucks on my first attempt on this Amendment. The comments to correct me brought with them, a devastating fact. This is over a quarter of a billion dollar tax increase! I did find the roll call for the sales tax amendment passed by the MN Senate yesterday. Here is the roll call vote. Democrats in Blue Republicans in Red

Yes I know it still has to pass the house, but that doesn’t matter. Some Democrats saw the 1/4 billion dollar tax increase as unfit. Votes do matter!






I never thought I’d say this, but the Bachmann amendment is good for one thing – to kill this nonsense in the house. Same principle as putting the cigarette tax – er fee in a health bill that also included a fetal pain provision.
