Grandma Needs a Prayer

My grandma is not doing well. For those that don’t remember, she picked up MSRA a nasty infection that is very tough to get rid of.
We thought we were on the road to recovery so she could get her artificial knee put back in. Well, turns out we weren’t. The infection is back. There are 2 options now. Amputate the leg, above the knee. Or let the infection and pain run their course which will eventually kill her.
She refuses to have the leg taken, eventhough that would cure the infection that has settled in her knee. And she doesn’t want to go through anymore of the pain. She just wants it to end.
It is pretty tough watching a loved one go through this. It isn’t the first time. My Dad was decimated by cancer 6 years ago. (Jeez I can’t believe it has been that long. I owe him a brandy manhatin. That was his drink.)
All you can do is hold their hand and try to comfort them.
