I can't say who I'd want to lead on the national level yet. Maybe Rudy. But I am more concerned with the Minnesota Senate right now anyway. It would help to know what your values and conservative feelings are so that I would be better able to respond with what I believe on each issue. I encourage you to visit my website at www.GoForEd.com, then leave me an email and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon

Going to have to side with Brent on this one. I think Rudy would have made quite a positive difference in N'Awlins. Rudy has tremendous emergency management skills and made it a focus in New York. The NYPD/NYFD response to 9/11 didn't happen by accident.

Back to the post topic, no one speaks for me other than me. My personal eclecticism prevents me from finding my voice emerging from someone else's mouth consistently. I don't see this as a problem, as I', a big fan of limited government, so no politician has to perfectly embody my beliefs to satisfy my expectations for performance in office. That's why a pro-life social conservative like me can see myself pulling the lever for Rudy in the right situation.

As for favorite policy person? Totally different question. I'll get back to you on that.

ah Brent, had Manhattan had to be evacuated on 9-11 the way New Orleans had to be during Katrina, Rudy would be a dog catcher in Guam right now. The failures of New Orleans are not even comparable to 9-11, and they were entirely different problems. Not that I hate Rudy, but even he couldn't have changed the flooding, or the inaction at the local level. New Orleans was bound to happen, he'd have made no difference.

Who speaks for me? That's hard to say. Rudy Giuliani would probably be near the top of the list. He's undoubtedly a leader, and comparing him in similar situations as others, he shines in response. Consider 9/11 to New Orleans, or the Brooklyn Museum to the Danish Comics.

OTOH, I really like Mitt Romney also. He's doesn't seem to have as high a profile yet, but I think that he's got potential.
