Do Americans who seek to harm America (I.E. Talk to known bads guys.) deserve to have the same rights and priviledges as normal everyday Americans that love America and want to see it protected?

Why don’t you ask Christopher Hitchens.

Yes. The reason is two-fold. First, the fact that we uphold the rights of “bad” people re-enforces the rights of “good” people like you and I. Second, defining those “who seek to harm America” is too ambiguous a ground to remove someone’s right. Take you, for instance. You think Democrats are intent on harming America because they don’t support the President’s positions. Should Democrats therefore have more volitile rights? In all seriousness, no.
You’ll disagree with my response, which is fine. Your statement is still false. Those who “seek to harm America” have fewer rights. Look no further than a prisoner. Where you err is in making a one-sided determination of harm. You think rights should stem from something you define. I think they stem from the law. We pass laws to protect our rights. You violate the law, you lose the right.
I despise those who even communicate with potential terrorists. They are pathetic individuals and our country should be using every legal resource possible to capture them. But I am even more adement in protecting our rights - yours and mine.
